The CS:GO Major Championship

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) has recently announced a new tournament called "The CS:GO Major Championship," which is set to take place later this year. The championship will feature the best teams from around the world and will be the first Major since the pandemic started.

The tournament will be held in Stockholm, Sweden, and will run from October 23 to November 7. It will feature a $2 million prize pool, which is one of the biggest prize pools in CS:GO's history. The tournament will also be the first Major to be held in Sweden since the 2014 DreamHack Winter tournament.

The CS:GO Major Championship will be the culmination of a series of regional competitions called "The RMR Series." These competitions will take place in various regions around the world and will allow teams to earn points towards qualifying for the Major.

The tournament is highly anticipated by fans and players alike, as it has been almost two years since the last Major was held. The pandemic forced many esports events to be cancelled or moved online, but with the recent rollout of vaccines, the return of LAN events like The CS:GO Major Championship is a promising sign for the future of esports.
